so yesterday we started painting for Beaches Children Choir's production of Into the Woods (finally). we drove to Home Depot yesterday morning in the pouring rain, loaded the car with gallons of paint, struggled and cursed till got the car out of the parking lot, and drove from Yonge and 16 to Warden and Danforth. it was a long trip. may have gotten caught on the camera passing the yellow light. (Papa will inform us soon enough if the 'letter' comes in the mail.)
We spent the day painting in the garage, till the rain ceased and we could open the garage door! fresh air.
the household holds: a very vocal 3 1/2 year old, an almost equally vocal 9 month old, and a very large ginger retriever. company of the sis made the day very tolerable and enjoyable. We drove to Pape and Danforth and gorged on garlicy Greek food. it was delicious. we then had to get some dessert (12 lil sweet balls to be exacts, soaked in syrup, only $3.00!) I then tried Greek coffee for the first time! very exciting till I realized it was equivalent of Turkish coffee. was then reminded by the sis of the dispute and the pride of the two nations.
When the day was done (and I was told by 3 1/2 year old Hannah that I can't exchange fat ginger dog with fat tabby cat), we were driving home when we had to brake, in the middle of the road, so a fox could pass. apparently the laws of traffic are above the four legged creature. a car is coming? they will stop.
will be making more journeys to that corner of the city to complete the project. photos to come (of the dog also).
Show goes up in June!
